Edmundbyers Youth Hostel has been many things since it’s building in the 1600′s, in 1933 its life began as a Youth Hostel, Edmunbyers was one of the first Youth Hostels opened in England and over the years has seen many visitors from all over the world and many local “Hostellers” escaping the factory and workplace to stay the weekend at Edmundbyers and enjoy the outdoor life and drink one or two in The Punch Bowl public house.
It has a unique impression on many people that have visited the hostel and some have met their future partners at the same. Its rich history has earned a place in many peoples minds such is the respect and love for a little Youth Hostel named Edmundbyers.
